Monarch Mountain Lodge is a great stopping place to rest your head, restock on supplies or just take advantage of our showers and laundry room. We aim to cater to all our hiker’s needs, whether you’re breaking overnight or just for a few minutes.
RESUPPLY PACKAGES
FREE Resupply and care packages are accepted and placed on hold until you arrive! We are located on Monarch Mountain, 17 miles from the city of Salida, on Highway 50 in between Boss Lake Trail and Billings Lake OHV Route--just follow the 70s music, you’ll find us--just kidding (no, seriously, I’m not kidding!). The package hold service is FREE but we would love a tag @monarchmountainlodge on your favorite social media platform or review site.
You may ship your package with any carrier you choose; however, we recommend USPS Priority or USPS 2-day Priority which allows you free return-shipping incase your plans may change. Whatever carrier you choose, please add 1 extra day for delivery (because, well, you know, “Mountain-Time” 🙄)

PARKING
Parking is free while you are on the premises; otherwise, it is $5 per day.
RESTAURANT, BAR, AND SNACK & GIFT SHOP
We have a restaurant with epic views + a bar and a snack/ gift shop. Our snack shop has a microwave and also stocks a few hiker supplies (i.e. water, sunscreen, first aid items, socks, etc.)

Breakfast 6a - 10a | Prices range from $12-$18
Dinner: 6p - 10p | Prices range from $15-$35
Bar: 6p - 10p (11p on Fri/Sat)
Snack Shop: 24/7
HIKER STAY
Want to stay overnight? Depending on the night, our prices range from $109-$250 (You can apply the cost of your $10 Day Pass purchase towards your stay). Check-in for rooms is 3p to 11p. Check-out is by 11a. We are a 100% non-smoking facility with the exception of two designated and marked outdoor smoking areas at the east and west of our building. Marijuana and any illegal substances are strictly prohibited both inside and outside of hotel premises. Some of our rooms have microwaves and refrigerators--these items are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
🐾 We are pet-friendly. However, pets must be leashed and handled at all times. There is an extra $30/night fee for pets for hotel stays.
HOW TO PAY
For the Hiker Pass, you can pay when you get here. For the rooms, you might want to make a reservation, particularly for busy weekends (i.e. July 4th, etc.).

Prices for Ski & Stay Packages depend on room type and how many lift tickets are needed for your stay.
We’re a 1970s lodge surrounded by mountains in the San Isabel National Forest. Our Ski & Stay packages offer free shuttle bus runs back and forth from the hotel to the ski resort. Relax in the outdoor hot tub or the indoor pool. Grab a beer or choose one of our local wines while you take in the amazing views in our on-site restaurant and bar where we serve breakfast and dinner. There are plenty of shopping, eating, and entertainment options in Salida too (about 20 minutes down the mountain).
Our Classic Rooms include a flat-screen TV and coffeemaker and free parking. Available in King or Double Queen beds.
Our Deluxe Rooms include a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and free parking. A French door opens to a shared terrace overlooking the mountain. Available in King or Double Queen beds.
Our Executive Rooms are slightly larger in size and include a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and free parking.
Our Family Rooms include a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, free parking, and a sleeper sofa
We are pet friendly. Pet Fee is $25/day some rooms are not available for pets.
